FORMAT FOR THE DAY

Each ride day is arranged into several sessions. We'll confirm a suitable arrival time with you before the event.

Once you arrive, Mal will introduces the crew and technical specifications of the V8 Supercar. We then explain the safety aspects and get fitted out with your race-suit and helmet. Next we take photographs of you with your driver and the car and another photo when you're strapped in and ready to go. Then the engine is fired up and the experience of 600 horsepower of grunt kicks in! The awesome braking and cornering of the V8 Supercar usually comes as big surprise, as there is nothing in normal driving experience that can prepare you for the abilities of a pure-bred race car.

We welcome spectators, so be sure to invite your friends along to share in your excitement. We like it to be a family event. Don't forget your camera.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast will we go?

With a car capable of almost 295km/h, at Eastern Creek, we use the full circuit and the longer straight means we can touch 250 to 260 km/hour. See if that gets your attention!

How many revs does the car do?

V8 Supercars are limited to 7,500 rpm under acceleration (in accordance with the regulations) but on downchanges can reach 9,000 rpm or more!

What if it rains?

We run hot laps in all weather conditions. If the track is wet, we use special wet weather tyres that still generate incredible grip. It's only a little bit slower, but it's even more sideways and even more exciting.

How many cars are on the track at the same time?

We want you to see what V8 Supercar racing is all about, so we often run two, three or four supercars in close proximity. And the drivers all know and trust each other, so they're not afraid to swap a little paint from time to time. Yes, the cars do run nose-to-tail and side-by-side. Mal owns all the cars, but that doesn't mean the other boys let him win without an argument!

How long is the ride?

At Eastern Creek, so we run 3 laps of the full circuit - which is over 11 km in total. We are the ONLY real V8 Supercar Experience to use the FULL Grand Prix 3.9km circuit. Others claim you can drive the "Championship" racetrack however they all use the short course. We think it's important you get to experience the notorious ly difficult and fast turn 8 sweeper around Corporate Hill - one of the best bits of the circuit. (The others cut out this part of the track.)

Can I have a drive?

We sometimes get asked this, but the answer is always sorry - no. Firstly, you'll need an international CAMS licence like our professional drivers. Secondly, insurance costs are prohibitive. Thirdly, the risk of damage to you, other members of the public, us, not to mention the car's very expensive drive-train, clutch and engine - is far too great. These aren't puffed-up production cars.
